Angels Hotel

Angels Hotel in Uddingston is affectionately called “The Love Pub” in Lanarkshire and is famous not just as a meeting place but for staff falling in love and subsequently marrying!

In its history, the pub has had over 250 such couples who have met as staff, fallen in love and then married. Many of these couples, and their children, have gone on to work for Angels and the current Manager, Clare Farr, along with previous managers, met her husband here. Her mother and father had worked in Angels for 30 years and they ended up marrying too. You can see why people swear by us! There is something in the air at Angels.

In 2012 Angels was named Community Pub of the Year and in 2013 was named Scottish Entertainment Award’s Best Pub. It is famous for its legendary steak pie, great food and entertainment and of course, for its uncanny ability to just make people happy and marry!
