The Fisherman’s Tavern is the only Scottish pub to feature in every edition of the CAMRA Good Beer Guide since it launched in 1974 and its history goes back longer than that.

Snuggled within three pretty seaside cottages painted pink, lime and yellow, The Fisherman’s Tavern has been offering hospitality since 1827. Inside, it’s just as atmospheric as you’d expect, with low ceilings, ancient wooden fittings and a warren of cosy corners, with additional drinking in the beer garden at the rear and on the street during the summer months.

It’s a hit with locals, holidaymakers and real ale drinkers, as well as the residents of the 12-bedroom hotel.

The pub is a stone’s throw from the waterfront and the perfect calling-in point after a stroll along the beach. Known for the quality of its food and drink, as well as the traditional welcome perfected over nearly 200 years of service, it’s a family-friendly bar that is a cornerstone of the Broughty Ferry community. On alternate Mondays there’s a quiz with a rolling cash prize and on Thursdays you can enjoy a local band of fiddle players. But on every day of the week you can savour good food, good drink and great company.
